Walmart 90 day perscriptions $10

In an extension of its $4 Prescriptions Program, Walmart included new drugs and introduced a 90 day prescription for $10.

In a day and age where many Americans (my parents included) find it increasingly difficult to pay for doctors' bills, prescription medications, and medical tests, the program from Walmat comes at very critical time.  Many Americans avoid going to the doctor for fear that a prescribed medication will be out of their price range.  We live in a country where movies like Iron Man gross over $200 million dollars, where video games and game consoles bring us out at 1 AM to wait in line for a CHANCE to buy, and where we spend more on tech gadgets for our preteens than we spend on taking care of veterans and senior citizens.

We should be ashamed.

To those who say "Well, those senior citizens had every chance to set themselves up for retirement!" or "They aren't my family, I need to feed my own!"  I say... "Shut up!"  We do not need to have a debate or national discussion about what is the right thing to do.  If you want to talk about right things to do, then simply take a few minutes and learn how our senators waste millions of dollars a year funding who-knows-what pork barrel spending.  Send your senator a letter letting them know you actually care about what we're doing to fund healthcare for everyone.

Honestly, be concerned.  If you don't know how to make a difference in 5 minutes, please let me know.  I'll be happy to type the letter to your senator, you just have to send it!  We cannot continue on the path we're on.  We are not a land of equal opportunity.  We must realize that.  We are a land where sometimes, some of us have more opportunity than others.

It's a reality.

It's what we do with those times of increased opportunity that make us the best nation in the world.  Let's take this opportunity to ensure we remain the best nation!
