Y'all with a smattering of understanding about evolution: Go to this blog and help straighten out the creationists, will you? This is one of the hottest posts in the WordPress blogging continent at the moment. Unreasonable Faith posted the old Doonesbury cartoon about the guy whose doctor diagnoses tuberculosis, and then asks the guy whether he's a creationist before prescribing treatment (if you don't know the cartoon, go see!). I don't think it was intended to attract so much traffic. In the past three days creationists have moved into the comments section with all manner of creationist misinformation. Few of the creationists are the hard-shelled, obnoxious type, but they could use some good information on genetics, mutations and evolution rates from someone familiar with the topics. |
