The Freddy

I moved Sugar, Charlotte and Treacle into the Freddy yesterday, so they're now back in the rat shed. Let them out to play with the rest of the girls today and apart from a load of bum-sniffing there was no trouble. Had to remove Sugar and Charlotte from the aviary to put them back in the Freddy when play time was finished. I'm sure they were wondering what I was up to. I just don't think their wounds are healed enough to risk any roughness with the other girls. It'll probably only be about a week though and they can all go back in together.  read more »

Medicare Administrative Costs are only 2% (please read fine print for disclaimer)

Michael Moore: Paid Shill for Democrats; What Really Matters

Moore in Information Clearing House from The London Guardian

There WAS a time when Michael Moore really WAS for the little guy/gal. When he was for working Americans.

But then, see, he got fame and fortune which tend to ruin everyone in this country. Even Moore forgets where he came from. Famously, when TV Nation was in production, Moore didn't want to pay the technicians union scale and fought vigorously against it.  read more »

Google, Microsoft, now Amazon?

Call it the commercialization of healthcare online. First it was Microsoft Health Vault and Google Health offering personal health record (PHR) solutions for consumers. Now Internet pundits are saying the healthcare industry should look to Internet giants Amazon for ideas on how to bring healthcare into the 21st century. Anna Maria Virzi, writing on the ClickZ network, says that patients should have access to information about their health records in the same way UPS or Amazon tracks package deliveries.  read more »
