Last night Obama finally had to reveal what his stance was on abortion. Several things could be analyzed from his statement to reveal what his real stance is. In a smooth calculated response he would not say "Pro Life" in referencing the "other side" of the issue and he declared himslef to be against "late term abortions" as long as it does not threaten a mother's life. My response to his stance is this. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME A TIME WHEN A MOTHERS LIFE WOULD BE IN DANGER IN A PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION? THE CHILD IS ALMOST COMPLETELY BIRTHED AND SCISSORS ARE STUCK INTO THE BACK OF THE SKULL. IF A CHILD IS COMPLETLY BIRTHED EXCEPT FOR THE HEAD HOW COULD THE MOTHER POSSIBLY BE IN DANGER ANY LONGER? I am still waiting for a politician to challenge a pro choice publicly that way. They know so much surely they could explain that one. He also tried to explain why he voted against providing mandatory health benefits to children who survive a botched abortion. His answer was cold and calculated much like the doctors who perform such grissly procedures. His ultimate answer was that we need to prevent unplanned pregnancies and we all know what that means to a postmodern liberal democrat.
